Full-Duplex, Digital Data Links for LOS ISR Video

EnerLinksIII™ is the industry’s most capable line-of-sight video data link system for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The integrated system combines a high-performance, encrypted data link with a sensor interface that can accept and compress multiple video feeds as well as all other common C2 and sensor data interfaces to create a single bit stream for transmission.

A Complete ISR Data Link System
EnerLinksIII was designed to be an integrated, sensor-to-viewer data link system. The aircraft data link includes all RF hardware, cables and antennas, while the ground link comes complete with antennas (including an optional high-gain, autotracking antenna) and a full-featured software video player and management system. Simply connect the ISR sensors and C2 equipment, and EnerLinksIII does the rest.
 
High Performance, Low SWAP for Tactical UAVs
EnerLinksIII is the ideal ISR data link for tactical UAVs and manned ISR platforms providing aircraft equipment under 4 pounds and power consumption under 50 watts. On the ground, the complete system including an optional autotracking antenna fits in three transit cases that can easily be stowed in the back of a HMMWV and assembled within minutes.
 
UAS Data Link Range to the Horizon
Used with simple antennas in the aircraft and on the ground, EnerLinksIII can deliver reliable UAS data link performance to the horizon. In field trials, EnerLinksIII regularly achieves ranges well over 100 nautical miles when line-of-sight conditions are maintained.
 
10X Improvement in ISR Video Spectrum Efficiency
Using techniques borrowed from the cellular industry, the EnerLinks system requires only 2.5 MHz of spectrum to transmit an SD video channel – about one tenth of what’s needed for analog FM links. Using its ability to reject signals in adjacent frequencies, it packs channels tightly together. And the EnerLinks modem operates at any bit rate from 50 kbps to 11 Mbps, so the required bandwidth can be precisely matched to the needs of the application.
 
EnerView™ Viewer Software Included
Using the EnerView viewer software package, ground personnel can watch multiple streams of real-time video with DVR modes, archive video to hard drive, interface to mapping software such as FalconViewT™, and manage and search video for post-mission analysis. With features comparable to viewer packages costing over $10k per user license, EnerView is included with EnerLinks at no cost.
